Coyle completed a 20,000 SF terrace upgrade at 50 Rockefeller Centre, which provides this multi-national tenant’s staff, and their clients and guests, with the perfect amenity space to enjoy.

The terrace provides elevated views of the main Rockefeller Plaza, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and will provide a great vantagepoint for the Rockefeller Christmas tree come December time each year.

Spread over both the north and south side of the building, these terraces create a relaxing environment with lush landscape planting, and extensive lighting and AV components, while the critical infrastructure elements of new irrigation, power and structural supports remain hidden below the newly installed pedestal paver system.

This combines to create a clean, open and inviting space for people to enjoy.

The focal point is a European fabricated Pergola system with integrating lighting – which will facilitate the many events the client plans for the future.

Scope also included new egress openings which maintain the iconic building’s landmark status, a full lighting control system which will provide the ability to create ambient lighting scenes for each event, as well as new roof drainage and membrane.
